The following improvements have been deployed to the Hockey Canada Registry (HCR):
Parent Qualifications Now Automatically Share to Linked Family Members
A fix has been implemented to ensure parent qualifications, including Respect in Sport - Parent and The Shift Forward – Parent/Guardian, are automatically applied when additional children are added to an existing family account.
Previously, some parent qualifications were not always recognized for newly linked family members, which could result in registration issues or requests to complete training that had already been finished. This update ensures qualifications are applied correctly across linked family members.
Improved Synchronization Between HCR and My Account
Updates have been made to improve synchronization between HCR and My Account when linking family members.
This enhancement ensures family account information is transferred correctly between systems, reducing registration issues caused by account mismatches and improving the overall family linking experience.
Does this fix involve additional steps for the parent when registering the subsequent children? is there something they have to do to ensure the new player is properly linked to the previous player?
No additional steps! The registration and Profile linking process remain the same. When a parent has one player with the qualification, it will automatically populate to others. There were some select cases where this wasn’t happening.
This is fantastic Josh! Great improvement and will save Registrar’s a lot of time contacting parents and explaining how to add participants to the Respect in Sport-Parent and The Shift Forward-Parent/Guardian. Also a lot easier for the parents as well.
When did this come into effect? Is it retroactive insofar as subsequent players that were registered and the auto-sync to previous sibling RIS-Parent courses didn’t take effect?
