HCR Release Notes: August 28, 2026

We’re pleased to share several enhancements and fixes that have recently been released in the Hockey Canada Registry (HCR).

Tournament Registration Validation Improvements

A correction has been made to tournament registration validation. Previously, the system could include teams that had already been accepted into a tournament when evaluating registration limits, which could result in incorrect maximum registration calculations. Validation now excludes teams already accepted into the event, ensuring registration limits are applied accurately.

Member Search and Third-Party Integration Improvements

Several improvements have been made to member search and third-party integrations. Validation has been strengthened to ensure member information is only returned when the correct organization and external identifier are associated with the member record. Additional enhancements improve search reliability, support shared member profiles, help prevent duplicate records, and improve the accuracy of registrations between HCR and integrated third-party platforms.

Questionnaire Submission Fix

Resolved an issue affecting questionnaires within My Account. If a registrar removed questions from an existing questionnaire after it had been assigned to members, users could be prevented from submitting their responses. Validation now ignores deleted questions, allowing members to successfully complete and submit questionnaires following administrative updates.

Merchant Account Sharing Between Organizations

Organizations can now share merchant accounts with child organizations. This enhancement allows parent organizations to duplicate and distribute merchant account configurations while maintaining provider settings. Additional improvements include:

  • Parent-child account tracking
  • Improved visibility of imported merchant accounts
  • Confirmation prompts during sharing
  • Enhanced sorting and display of shared accounts
  • Visibility into organizations that have received shared accounts

Critical Response Indicators for Questionnaires

Questionnaires can now be configured to identify critical responses.

When certain responses are flagged as critical:

  • A badge can automatically appear on a member’s profile
  • Registrars can quickly identify responses requiring attention
  • Support is available for dropdown and radio button response types

This functionality supports future notification and monitoring workflows based on questionnaire responses.
